The story starts with a young boy, who had his parents killed and his forehead scarred with a lightning symbol, by the powerful dark lord, Voldemort. He was sent to live with his horrible cousin, Dudley, and his aunt and uncle, Petunia and Vernon Dursley.
The first book (Harry Potter & the Philosophers Stone) is based upon Harry discovering that he is well-known wizard,who subconsciously 'defeated' the Dark Lord Voldermort in his baby days, minutes after witnessing his parents being slaughtered to a truly tragic but rather memorable death.Throughout the book Harry discovers himself and his beloved undesirables- Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasly; alternatively Harry discovers his enemies: Draco Malfroy,Severus Snape,Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle.
